A PROCESS ECONOMICS MODEL FOR IN SITU COAL GASIFICATION

License(s):

Other (Open)

A site evaluation computer model which can be used to calculate the sales price of fuel gases produced by underground coal gasification has been developed. Such a model can provide sensitivity data for a wide variety of process and economics variables. A key feature of the model is that a nominal piping/compression design is produced, thus allowing a hardware based calculation rather than the conceptual models previously reported in the literature. In this paper we discuss the technical basis of the field design.
