Enhancing Appalachian Coalbed Methane Extraction by Microwave-Induced Fractures

Project Final Report-07122-27-The project objective is to determine the ability of microwave energy to create micro fractures in coal samples under simulated down hole conditions of pressure and temperature. This technique has been used successfully by the coal industry for pre-treating coal prior to pulverization at atmospheric conditions.
