This report addresses the potential for leaching trace metals from various fossil energy materials as assessed under an interlaboratory program of testing with three different extraction procedures. The program is a continuation of the Collaborative Test Program undertaken with the American Society for Testing and Materials Subcommittee and US DOE participating Energy Technology Center. Engineering Science was retained by DOE Laramie Energy Technology Center to coordinate activities with the Program participating laboratories and prepare this report. Statisticians from the National Bureau of Standards aided in review and analysis of the program data and sered on the Program Coordination Committee along with DOE personnel and Subcommittee members.
