The purpose of the project described in this progress report is to determine the preburn and postburn lithology and mineralogy of the overburden and underburden rocks; the environments of deposition; geometry and distribution of these rocks; the rock strength properties of the various rocks above the reactor cavity; the correlations between the rock strength properties and the sedimentologic data; and the location, size and shape of the reactor cavity.
