This hydrates research project is focused on five distinct research tasks:
Development of Comprehensive Thermo-Hydro-Chemo-Geomechanical (THCM) simulator for Hydrate Research and Development Projects
This project consists of three major subtasks:
(1) selection numerical platform,
(2) implementation of de-coupled processes (e.g., chemo-mechanical, thermo-hydro, and hydro-mechanical) and its validation, and
(3) development of fully-coupled THCM simulator through combining all the aforementioned de-coupled processes.
