Fundamental Laboratory Characterization of Hydrate-Bearing Sediments for Hydrologic and Geomechanical Properties Under Various Production Conditions

The laboratory tests will focus on the pore- and core-scale hydrological, geomechanical, and
morphological properties of hydrate-bearing sediments, with emphasis on their dynamic changes during hydrate dissociation. Unprecedented results will bring insight into hydrate formation, provide scientific justification for relevant parameters used in reservoir simulators, and enhance the understanding of fundamental properties of hydrate-bearing sediments.
