A workshop to highlight the risk assessment and risk management toolset of the DOE FECM, Carbon Storage Program’s National Risk Assessment Partnership (NRAP), Phase II was held in conjunction with the Groundwater Protection Council’s 2021 Annual Forum. The workshop featured presentations from principal developers of NRAP’s Phase II tools from all partnering NRAP laboratories (National Energy Technology Laboratory, Los Alamos National Laboratory, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, and Pacific Northwest National Laboratory). These tools address aspects of risk quantification and decision support for geologic carbon storage sites related to potential leakage, potential induced seismicity, and monitoring design. NRAP openly provides these tools as a resource to the international CCS research, development and deployment community.

Slide decks and recordings of those presentations are available here.

If you would like to access the NRAP Phase II tools please join and explore EDX, an online coordination and collaboration environment, which supports the dissemination of submissions relevant to energy systems.  Register at the following link (https://edx.netl.doe.gov/user/register) and find out how EDX can support your research!

Please use Chris Wyatt (christopher.wyatt@netl.doe.gov) or Mia Sorada (mia.sorada@netl.doe.gov) as your point of contact. After validation, you will be added to the appropriate NRAP workspace.
