Because of the budget reduction, it is necessary to re-evaluate all research priorities within the laboratory. This evaluation will be an ongoing project during FY 1988-89. During 1988-89, a major portion of the resources of the laboratory will be devoted to the completion of research projects which were initiated prior to July 1, 1988. Now projects will be initiated in order to respond to opportunities for external funding.
