"The publications listed in this bibliography are those that resulted from previous work accomplished by the Bureau of Mines both in mining and energy research. As a result of the ""Energy Reorganization Act of 1974"" the Laramie Energy Research Center has transferred from the Department of the Interior, Bureau of Mines, to the United States Energy Research and Development Administration. The center is continuing the research of oil shale and shale oil. The Bureau of Mines mining research in oil shale remains in the Bureau of Mines, Department of the Interior."
