Temperature data from the retorting experiments is studied in several ways. Detailed measurements of temperature propagation through both retort beds are made by an array of 13 thermocouples on each of two horizontal planes across the bed. The MOVIES code permits visual examination of this data in a time sequence. The code produces a series of three dimensional contour plots of the temperature data with one or more frames for each time the array data is recorded.
