A NEW METHODOLOGY FOR OIL AND GAS EXPLORATION USING REMOTE SENSING DATA AND SURFACE FRACTURE ANALYSIS

License(s):

Other (Open)

A systematic methodology for oil and gas exploration using remote-sensing information and surface fracture analysis has been developed. This methodology consists of (1) acquisition of satellite images and aerial photographs, (2) photogeological interpretation of these images and photographs for mapping surface lineaments, fracture traces, drainage patterns, and circular and accurate anomalies and (3) surface fracture analysis.
