Acoustic characteristics of hydrate mounds in the Mississippi Canyon, northern Gulf of Mexico

Hydrate mounds are common in the northern Gulf of Mexico where there are numerous hydrocarbon seeps. This study examines MCS data collected around three mounds on the floor of the Mississippi Canyon to determine the acoustic signatures associated with the mounds.
