ANALYSIS OF FINE STRUCTURE RECOVERY FROM ION EFFICIENCY CURVES

A mathematical analysis is given for two methods of fine structure recovery from ionization efficiency curves obtained from electron impact mass spectrometry. The electron energy difference (EDD) method and the Fourier transform deconvolution methods are analyzed and compared.
