An analysis is provided of the range of potential impacts on utility and industrial fossil fuel-fired facilities and specific emerging technologies resulting from the implementation of regulations under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act of 1976 (RCRA). The impact analysis includes the estimation of the costs associated with the implementation of RCRA for non-hazardous and hazardous material disposal in the utility industry. The study also includes an assessment of other Federal environmental regulations as they pertain to RCRA and fossil fuel-fired facilities.
