"The purpose of the environmental assessment report is to present a summary of the observed effects of the pilot scale BX in situ oil shale project on the local environment, and provide an estimate of potential impacts on the environment from a conceptual 10,000 barrel/day commercial scale operation. The following report is intended to provide information to interested parties to assist in determining the compatibility of the commercial scale operation with national and local goals and growth objectives. To this end, the following report has been organized into six sections."
