Characterization of oil shales by laser pyrolysis-gas chromatography

License(s):

Other (Open)

Oil shales occur in large quantities in the North American continent. They represent a large portion of the known hydrocarbon reserves. Currently work is being done on these materials to find new methods for their rapid characterization. Here we report initial studies on laser pyrolysis monitored by gas chromatography.
