The purpose of this study was to characterize the coals and their ash residues from a selected group of power plants, and to examine the residues both before and after leaching by two different methods. All samples for analysis were received from the NBS Inorganic Analytical Research Division upon conclusion of their work with the materials. Data is presented on all samples of coal, fly ash, bottom ash, flue gas desulfurization sludge, and plant waste water sludge received.
