CO/sub 2/ formation damage study. Quarterly report, January 1-March 31, 1982

The objective of this contract is to assess the possibility of formation damage due to CO/sub 2/ injection processes and seek ways to avoid or minimize this problem. The study will determine the types of chemical and physical changes that can occur in carbonate or other reservoirs because of injected CO/sub 2/ and/or its chemical additives and the possible effects on oil recovery due to those changes. Progress achieved during the quarter ending March 31, 1982 is summarized.
