COMBINED STEAM AND SOLVENT INJECTION

This paper presents the results of a laboratory study on two aspects of the process. One of these is the influence of the asphaltene precipitation phenomenon on the permeability of a sand pack and of a consolidated core. The other one is the effect of injecting a solvent, either slugwise prior to steam, or simultaneously with steam, in a one dimensional displacement cell.
