"The Laramie Energy Research Center of the Department Energy proposes to perform a modified horizontal in situ experiment at Green's Canyon in the White Mountain region of Wyoming. The experiment is planned in the Laney Member of the Green River Formation. Three core holes were drilled in the area of interest during the latter part of October and November 1977. Core from these holes was examined and physical and chemical property tests were conducted on samples selected from the core holes. This report summarizes the rock mechanics data and Fischer assay values, and recommends the size and orientation of drifts required for the in situ experiment."
