EVALUATION OF IN SITU COAL GASIFICATION FACILITIES FOR PRODUCING GASOLINE-BLENDING METHANOL AND VARIOUS INTERIMEDIATE PRODUCTS

The primary objective of this study was to develop conceptual plant designs and cost estimates for three cases of underground coal gasification for producing gasoline-blending grade methanol and to perform an economic analysis based on the designs and cost estimates. A secondary objectives was to estimate the costs for producing various intermediate products and to perform a similar economic analysis to determine the prices of these products.
