Exploratory tests on the effects of magnetic fields on the flow of brine in petroleum-reservoir rock samples

License(s):

Other (Open)

The rates of flow of NaCl solutions through petroleum reservoir rock samples were determined. The samples were then subjected to magnetic fields with estimated densities up to about 5 kilogausses and flow rates were redetermined. No change in flow rate was observed as a result of the magnetic field.
