"This paper was delivered at a session of the Commission on the Problem of Underground Gasification of Coal, Section of Technical Sciences, USSR Academy of Sciences. We will formulate the following problem: let a homogeneous coal bed, bounded by some contour on which the pressure remains unchanged, contain boreholes of known radii with known bottom hole pressures on their contours. Fas is forced into some holes, and removed from others. The flow rates of the boreholes are to be calculated."
