GEOKINETICS SHALE GROUP ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES, UINTAH COUNTY, UTAH: EVAPORATION POND WATER INVESTIGATION

License(s):

Other (Open)

Because of the large amount of water produced in the in situ retorting of oil shale, there is a need to determine how the constituents of this water change with time and upon evaporation as an industrial waste pond. This investigation was undertaken with that purpose in mind. No provision was undertaken to isolate the pond from incoming fresh retort water since this is part of maintaining a working disposal pond.
