Natural gas hydrate nodules from core MD02-2569, Gulf of Mexico/ Mississippi Site, are imaged by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and compared to similar features observed in lab-synthesized gas hydrates of known composition, grain texture, and pressure-temperature histories.
