During this period the program was redirected to obtain data on an improved version of the screenless moving Granular Bed Filter (GBF) rather than construct the device with the improvements incorporated and test at the Curtiss-Wright facility. Work in the interim was directed toward low temperature testing of the improved GBF and obtaining physical data for a numerical model of the GBF.
