The objective of this geophysical project is to monitor the migration of the in-situ heat fronts with a combination of promising new geophysical techniques such as high resolution 3-D seismic, Vertical Seismic Profiles and Acoustic Tomography. To accomplish this it was necessary to determine optimum field acquisition and processing techniques so critical for imaging the tar sand heat fronts.
