"This report presents the results of the pre-burn evaluation of an underground coal gasification site near Centralia, Washington. This site is designated as the location of a CRIP UCG experiment. The first high resolution seismic survey, which is reported here, was performed in March, 1983. The survey gathered the data necessary to lay the ground work for later definition of the burn cavity. High resolution seismic data was gathered, processed, and interpreted to map the extent and depth of the coal in which the burn will take place. After the burn is complete, a second, identical survey will be performed. Data from both surveys will then be interpreted to determine the shape and size of the underground burn cavity."
