Phase I efforts focused on identifying and defining the carbon dioxide (CO2) sources, geologic sinks, and sequestration infrastructure within the Plains CO2 Reduction (PCOR) Partnership region. The PCOR Partnership has taken a market-based approach that focuses on the development of the information needed to monetize carbon credits from sequestration activities. This information was used to develop both short and long-range strategies for sequestration of CO2 in the region.
