The status of the following studies is given: macromolecular syntheses of model polymers (homopolymer synthesis, random copolymer synthesis, graft-copolymer syntheses,4820 ); macromolecular characterization by size exclusion chromatography; dilute solution studies (ageing effects on viscosity, shear rate effects on viscosity, structure effects on viscosity, turbidimetric studies,4820 ); polymer solution rheological studies; macromolecular flow through controlled porous media; and polymer solution flow through simulated porous reservoirs.
