KINETICS OF OXYGEN CHEMISORPTION ON MICHIGAN OIL SHALE RESIDUE

License(s):

Other (Open)

The adsorption of oxygen on Michigan oil shale residue obeys the same kinetic model as the chemisorption of gases on metallic surfaces. Both processes show that the activation energy and the pre-exponential factor depend on a pseudo-coverage, X. The methodology by which the data could be tested and the kinetic parameters evaluated are discussed in this paper.
