The objectives of this research are the modeling and prediction of the lateral vibration of non-rotating drillstring conveying fluid and the development of a comprehensive drillstring dynamic simulator. In particular, the dynamic interaction between drill pipe and fluid (fluid-pipe coupling forces and fluid excitation forces) near the neutral zone is going to be investigated
