The principal objective of this experiment was to control peak temperature, especially during and after a change in oil shale grade in the retort. This was done by varying the air rate at constant steam rate. As outlined in the previous quarterly report, the shale charge for Run L-3 consisted of -25 0.001 cm shale from C-a tract.
