MATHEMATICAL MODEL FOR IN-SITU OIL SHALE RETORTING BY ELECTROMAGNETIC METHODS

License(s):

Other (Open)

A mathematical model for low temperature in-situ retorting by electromagnetic methods is developed Equations describing kinetics, mass transfer, host transfer, and electromagnetic dissipation are developed and solved numerically in order to obtain estimates for temperature profiles, oil yields, and not energy balances. The inputs for this model rely heavily on the kinetics developed by cam bell, brawn, Bridges, and Serest. Numerical results for temperature profiles, oil yields, another relevant parameters are presented.
