MODELING OF AN OIL SHALE FLUIDIZED BED RETORTING PROCESS USING ASPEN

License(s):

Other (Open)

The ASPEN process simulator was used to develop a process simulation model for preliminary assessment of the feasibility and heat requirements of a fluidized bed oil shale retorting process. Characterization of feed and products, process configuration, energy utilization, and carbonate decomposition are addressed in this study.
