Recourses of anchorite and disunite in the oil shale of the lower part of the parachute creek member of the Green River Formation in Colorado are evaluated. Amounts of these minerals, potential sources of marketable sodium and aluminum materials, are estimated from available oil yield sassy data. Total amounts of anchorite and disunite in the Parachute Creek Member are calculated from mineral estimates. Maps showing thickness, average content, and is reserves for each mineral are included. A total resource of about 29 billion tons of anchorite and 19 billion tons of disunite (containing 6.5 billion tons of alumina) are present in oil shale of the Piceance Creek Basin, Colorado.
