Final Project Report-07122-07-The objective of this project was to conduct a preliminary evaluation of novel methods for stimulating gas production from low-permeability rocks, including shale, tight sands, and coal bed formations. Specifically, the goal was to assess the feasibility of using a saw to cut a deep slot from a horizontal borehole into the formation at 5,000 to 10,000 foot depths.
