NUMERICAL MODELING OF GROUNDWATER FLOW AND WATER QUALITY AT UNDERGROUND COAL GASIFICATION SITES FINAL REPORT

License(s):

Other (Open)

"The model presented in this report simulates two-dimensional water quality in a multi-aquifer system with coal gasification sites. It's a finite element program which uses isoparametric eight-noded quadrilateral elements. It is designed to study the effects of cavities created after burning in coal gasification sites. The accuracy of the program has been verified against several analytic solutions. The program is now ready to be applied to field problems."
