Significant quantities of aqueous effluents are produced in fossil fuel processing. Since there is the potential for human exposure to these effluents, it is essential to determine the associated health risks. The following studies were conducted to evaluate the relative acute toxicity and mutagenicity properties of the process waters and to obtain data on fertility and reproductive parameters.
