In a meeting held at the Petroleum and Oil-Shale Experiment Station in Laramie on January 10,947, attended by H.W. Thorne, K.E. Stanfield, J.S. Ball, J.D. Lankford, and Walter Murphy, it was decided to initiate the preparation of a data book on oil shale and shale oil, which will incorporate in notebook form data which are used repeatedly in processing and other calculations. Such a compilation of graphical and tabular data will aid in uniformity of calculations performed at Laramie, Rifle or elsewhere and will present in a single book all data that are available and indicate additional data that are needed on theses materials.
