OLEOPHILIC SEPARATION (Conceptual Commercial Design for Mined Tar Sand)

License(s):

Other (Open)

Oleophilic separation of tar sands and other materials is under pilot plant development by Kruyer. It achieves high bitumen recovery with low energy and water requirements and is non polluting. High, medium and very low grade mined tar sands as well as middling's, tailings, tailings pond sludge and steam drive emulsions have been separated. The process has been proven to be effective for each of these. A conceptual commercial design for a mined tar sands plant is here presented.
