The purpose of this project is to study characteristics of the oil mist which is produced during the retorting of oil shale. Specific areas being examined include: 1) measuring the drop size distribution of the oil mist; 2) estimating the total flux of oil in the form of mist; 3) studying factors which effect the production and growth of the oil drop size distribution.
