The work reported here was conducted at the request of the Atomic Energy Commission at the Petroleum and Oil-Shale Experiment Station, Laramie, Wyoming under the general supervision of H. P. Rue, Chief, Fuels Technology Division, Region IV, and H. M. Thornel, Chief, Oil-shale Research Branch, and under the immediate supervision of W. I. R. Murphy, Head, Process Research Section. This report presents the results of the third of a series of experimental runs in the Entrained-Solids retort to evaluate Chattanooga, Tennessee oil shales as a source of petrochemical raw materials and to prepare retorted shale for use in uranium recovery studies at Columbia University. The work is being carried on under contract AT(49-1) 534 between the Bureau of Mines and the Atomic Energy commission.
