A discussion contained in this report is about some of the parameters that are representative of U.S. petroleum reservoirs. Since the purpose of this work included determining limited ranges of values for these parameters (salinity, temperature, and API gravity) and suggesting useful values representative of U.S. reservoirs, an investigation into these parameters was conducted based on readily available sources. The purpose of this report is not to comprehensively analyze all aspects of these parameters and, thus, should not be considered as a comprehensive literature review.
