SEPARATION AND UTILIZATION STUDIES OF BITUMENS FROM BITUMINOUS SANDS

This report contains two parts: Part I: Laboratory hot water separation tests, and part II: Analytical data on asphalt properties and cracked products of the separated bitumens. Part I summarizes the general characteristics of the Vernal and Sunnyside deposits and discusses the hot water separation process as applied to those bituminous sandstones and the results obtained. Part II presents the analytical data, which indicate possible uses for the products.
