The development of methods for producing shale oil from oil shale constitutes on phase of the research and development program being conducted at the Petroleum and Oil-Shale Experiment Station at Laramie, Wyoming, under authority of Public Law 290. The objective of this law is to facilitate the development of liquid fuels from sources other than petroleum.
