This report describes a robust reactor control system which utilizes commercial off-the-shelf equipment to the maximum possible extent to monitor critical reactor parameters including bath temperature, headspace temperature, bath composition, bath level, bath pressure, containment system, tuyere injection, and visual observation. Sensors for the remaining critical reactor parameters and control system hardware/software which integrates the data provided by these diverse sensors into a robust reactor control system have also been successfully demonstrated.
