The Colorado School of Mines Research Institute (CSMRI) was retained by The Superior Oil Company to investigate the marketing and transportation of the shale oil product which the joint partners intend to produce from the "Pacific Property" in northwestern Colorado. The objective of the study was to determine the most likely market and transportation modes to be used in a future marketing program and, thereby, provide necessary information to assist in the preliminary plant and site design program.
