The Viscosity of Heavy Oil and Bitumen Which Contain Subsaturation Concentrations of Carbon Dioxide

License(s):

Other (Open)

"Viscosity measurements using a high pressure rotational viscometer have been made on oil samples obtained from Lloydminster and Cold Lake deposits in Canada. The effect of dissolved carbon dioxide pressure and temperature on the viscosity of these samples has been determined. A general equation has been developed to correlate to the experimental viscosity data with the concentration of carbon dioxide in solution, the temperature and the pressure."
