"This is the third and final publication of a series dealing with the thermal reactions of alkylpyrroles. Only a limited amount of the literature on thermal reaction of organic nitrogen compound deals with pyrrolic compounds ,1 - 7 and the majority of the pertinent papers appeared more than 50 year'ago. The first paper of the Bureau's study of pyrrolic shale oil compound, described the thermal reaction of 1-n-butyl-pyrrole and the second dealt with I-n-butylpyrrole. To obtain information on the thermal reaction of other type of alkyl-substituted pyrroles, 1isopropylrrole was selected as a representative branched-chain alkyl member."
